The Glattal Cup

The traditional tournament

In order to expand the existing dance tournaments, the Turnier- Tanzsportklub Zürich came up with the idea of organising its own, larger tournament in 2012. This is how the Glattal Pokal came into being. In the search for the ideal location in the Wallisellen area, the hall of the Doktorhaus quickly came into question. The Doktorhaus had already hosted dance tournaments in the 1980s. When the hall was renovated, it provided the atmospheric setting for the first Glattal Pokal.

At the tournament, the TTZ welcomed over 100 dance couples from all over Switzerland and neighbouring countries to compete in standard and Latin dances. In addition, the Zurich cantonal champions were also determined in four categories.

Fixed point in the tournament calendar

For many visitors as well as dancers, the Glattal Pokal in the beautiful hall of the Doktorhaus in Wallisellen is a fixed date in the tournament calendar and provided a fantastic atmosphere with their applause and performances.

TTZ - a very committed association

The Turnier-Tanzsportklub Zürich is not only one of the oldest and largest dance clubs in Switzerland, but is also one of the most committed clubs. The TTZ is committed to making dance sport more popular at regional and national level. To this end, the club organises, in addition to the Glattal Pokal, thrilling dance tournaments and Swiss championships time and again.
